Do This First! The most important thing you can do is prepare your new sequence for mapping.
This is important because the sequence “sxq” file has pointer references to the directories on the
Magic Pixelz network.

Following these steps will change those file pointers to your computer and make mapping the sequence to your layout much easier. There is now a super easy new way to import a sequence.

Make sure you have the latest version of Xlights as a new import method is now implemented which makes importing a sequence much easier than the old method.

Note: Due to copywrite issues we ask that you please purchase the original music and make sure it is the correct version of the song. Sending us a proof of purchase receipt at the time of your sequence purchase greatly speeds up the process and insures that you will not have to wait for the music file.

If you are using the latest version of Xlights, you can import your zip files directly. You will only need
the music file. It’s as easy as 1-2-3.

Step1. Open a new sequence and add the music.

Step2. Go to import, click on the proper zip file you just purchased and the program will set up the
normal import page.

Step3. Once you have mapped the sequence, and checked that it is what you want, save your work and xlights will make all the proper file paths changes.
